Hey guys – I know I have been totally MIA from the blog and my podcast – and I have to update photos of the ‘studio’ – some progress has actually been made.
SeamedUP is devouring all of my time. I love it. It is a lot of work but rewarding and we truly believe that we have something here. We have made a lot of improvements to site lately and we have so many ideas for the future that my head explodes sometimes. (it’s kinda gross, good thing the twins are used to it!)
Which brings me to the reason for this post.
Brye and I (yup, just us now) are looking for help. We are trying to build the site, put in the content, and tweet, facebook, blog, post comments on other people’s blogs, drive traffic to the site, talk with manufacturers to get them involved, develop relationships with people, do the dishes, get the kids hair brushed, you know – EVERYTHING!
We are looking for volunteers to help us spread some good cheer about SeamedUP. Have a blog? Maybe you could post about us?
Tweet? Maybe you could tweet about us?
Facebook? Maybe you could.. well, you get the idea.
We are also looking for people who can work in excel. We literally have more than a hundred thousand pieces of fabric waited to get into the site. Having a little help with the formatting and what not (if you are interested – I will thoroughly walk you through it) would be just grand.
AND we really need to sell advertising. The donation (you remember the piggy bank?) campaign was fabulous – but the account is running low and while we are running this business with an incredibly low cost structure – there are still costs.
We are offering a paid commission to people who sell ads for us. We have extensive documentation about our AD structure and we are ready. If the AD repeats the following month – so does your commission.
Interested in any of this?
You can email me directly at allison@seamedup.com
I am going to manage the volunteers and Brye is going to manage the AD sellers.
Thanks everyone!
PS – we should return to normal broadcasting in about 35 years. Kidding! I will be at the microphone before we leave for Mtl for a whole MONTH next week!
