This is what I was talking about.. Command Strips to the rescue!

Can you believe these were hung…

With these??!!

And they STILL haven’t fallen off the fall?  Have to admit, I had my doubts.

These are also GREAT for hanging quilts on the wall! I heart command strips.

  1. Wow, that’s amazing! I have to get me some of those. And, look at all those yummy threads….could a lot of them be, oh, maybe, PRESENCIA?????

  2. Cute response Denise, I love threads – I should post pics on my blog about my threads as I too have loads and love displaying them.

  3. love the thread holders put up with command tape-its a grreat i will try hanging a quilt.. for the Been there Done that Project do we have to have that magazine or will you download the templates to -i have already started my cutting

  4. I ‘wish’ I could provide the paper piecing template – but due to copyright issues – my hands are tied. I tried to choose a more recent issue that may be easier to find…

I will say this though. The center square is 2 inches – and each strip goes around the square (see tutorial for a visual). The first strip is #1 and it continues until #12. I believe it would be easy enough to draw with a ruler… but that’s just me.

  5. Hi, I also replied on the blog…

I can’t actually share the template as it is under copyright by Fons and Porter. However, check out my response online and you can see the tips I gave on how to draw your own.

    Really, not hard.

  6. HI Allison,

I love all your thread. It looks like you have a nice sewing room. Question though…..do you worry at all about dust settling on your threads? What about natural light….will they fade or weaken?
    Thanks!

  7. Hi again Allison,

Would it be possible for you to post a picture of how you use the Command Strips to hang your quilts? It sounds like a great and easy idea.
