On episode 49 I talked about 1 of my newest uses for Freezer Paper. I absolutely love this! It makes me look like I can actually free motion quilt:)
Here is the quilt sandwich, prepared for quilting and tucking into the machine. Please note – I DID start from the center and worked my way out to the sides. I simply ironed the freezer paper shapes onto the quilt top and FMQ’d around them… so easy.

Brye Lynn and I share a common love – Thread Heaven – a little box of thread conditioner that makes much easier work of hand piecing (yes, I am STILL working on my Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt).
I mostly get a chance to hand-sew on road trips and considering how many times we have driven to montreal and back to Athens, Ohio lately – it’s been nice to get reacquanted with this project.
Heading back out onto the road home tomorrow!
OK – getting back to the point; here it is!
